Hi all –
Ron and Heidi Hunter (#3) have offered to organize a pig roast for the strata, for on October 19. What a great idea! This will happen up at Milligan’s Pond.
They have arranged for the roaster and the pig through Hilliers Gourmet Foods. The owner of Hilliers Gourmet Foods will bring the roasting equipment and come out to do the roasting.
It will be a potluck event where we all can bring salads, condiments, buns, desserts, etc. As per usual bring your own cutlery, plate, drinks & chair.
You are welcome to bring one or two guests, if you like.
Heidi and Ron need to have confirmation of the number of attendees no later than October 7th in order to know the size of pig for the event. If you would like to attend, please click here to email them (or cut and paste this: tbd995@telus.net) to let them know you will come and for how many people.
Cost per person will be $5.00 per person, to go towards the cost of the roast pig. (To pay, please just bring cash to the event.)
Also, if you have a tent (open sided) that could be used if the weather gets rainy, please let Heidi and Ron know that too. The plan is to have a fire (if fires are allowed again by then) but shelter from the rain would be great if rain decides to show up for the party.
