Recently, information was mailed out regarding a public information meeting that has been scheduled by the Deep Bay Improvement District to allow the board to present financing options for the proposed fire hall project and to receive public feedback.  From the feedback received, the board will determine the financing option.  Once the financing option has been determined, rate payer approval, via a public referendum, must be obtained on the question of borrowing the funds.  A full information package will be mailed out, and an open house will be scheduled prior to the referendum.  Dates are still to be determined.  The public information meeting will take place at the DEEP BAY FIRE HALL ON TUESDAY, MAY 14 at 7:00 pm. This is an opportunity to present our individual opinion on the proposal.
