Hi all –
Tomorrow morning (Friday, September 11, 2020) I invite whoever is interested to join me to remove the hog fuel mulch layer on the borders on both sides of the entrance driveway, up to and around the corners at the T-junction. I’ll be out there at 8:30 a.m. or so, until maybe 10:00 a.m. This is the initial prep work for the improvements we are making to the plant borders along the driveway.
If you can help, please bring a rake, gloves, and a wheelbarrow or some buckets or something like that to fill with the hog fuel and then dump into the utility trailer. (I will bring our garbage can, and a wheel barrow, so you can use one of those if you don’t have something). The utility trailer will be parked close by somewhere, for this work.
The plan is to remove the hog fuel and put it in the utility trailer. Then the RV committee can then decide whether the hog fuel could be used in the RV area as some natural fill. If they can use it, great. If not, we can take it to a composting place.
I will organize another work party to dig and prep holes and plant stuff in the entrance way driveway in another week or two, after Council finalizes what plan we will use for the landscaping, and once I have rounded up the plants/shrubs and compost and all that good stuff.
Thanks!
Violet (Landscaping Director)
p.s. Vance and Jen will be shaping and pruning the plants at the entrance way over the next couple of days too. Yay! Lots going on… Thanks everyone!
