Hi all –
A guy from RDN – Parks (Travis) is coming out tomorrow (Thursday) morning at 9:30 a.m. to meet with me and look at potential hazard trees that are on the RDN community park land adjacent to our property along the creek-side of our property.
I will have him look at the trees beside/overhanging #1, and the trees across from #9 that are leaning towards #9. If there are other trees you want to bring to my attention, please let me know today.
I will walk the whole length of that property line with Travis to look, but you might have some specific concerns (e.g. for the fenced area of our septic field) that you want to alert me to.
If anyone wants to join Travis and me tomorrow, you are welcome to come along. He said he would be here around 9:30, and I will start down by Unit 1.
thanks –

p.s. For the leaning trees in the ditch, which are on our property in the covenanted area and thus would require one or several permits to remove unless they are deemed to be a hazard tree by a certified Arborist:
- I have an email in to someone else in RDN to find out if RDN has a list of certified Arborists that they authorize to take down a hazard tree right away (without first having to get a permit and RDN approval) when they are on-site, or whether all certified Arborists can do this.
- I know Hud Elgood can do this and we have worked with him before, but he can take a long time to get out here, and I would like to add to our options for “who we can call on” for that.
- Once I hear back from RDN about that, I will work on getting an Arborist to come look at the trees in the ditch on our property that are leaning towards our buildings, to decide if those are hazard trees and can be taken out.
I will keep y’all posted on that, as that progresses.
