Hello all –
It’s time to do a “debris clean-out” of the ditch that runs along the Hembrough side of the strata. It has been a few years since this was done, so it is time. Clearing out the branches, leaves and tree debris helps the water to flow better when there is water in that ditch, and reduces sideways erosion, both of which are beneficial for the strata. Right now the ditch is dry, so it is an ideal time to do the clean-out.
So – I am organizing a work party for NEXT WEEK WEDNESDAY, August 23, from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. EVERYONE IS INVITED! (It’s a work PARTY, eh – and you wouldn’t want to miss a party!) 🙂 Let’s meet at 9:00 on the road area close by Keith and Brenda’s place (#13), and we can get organized there.
This will be the morning after the LLE AGM next week, so I will re-invite y’all again at the AGM.
With lots of people helping, it will go quickly and well (as it has in the past) – yay!
Keith has offered to hook up the trailer and haul the debris to the disposal depot (thanks Keith!).
Bring gloves, and wear clothes that can get a bit grubby, and sturdy boots/shoes. Please bring a rake, a bucket, and a wheelbarrow, if you have any of those.
THANKS!
Violet (LLE Council, Landscaping… for one more week 🙂 )
