The fence that runs parallel to Gainsberg between the front entrance and the work shed is in need of repair. Most of the first 19 4×4 posts have rotted and the fence has begun to fall over. The remainder of the fence that runs from the fir trees at Unit 7 to the shed are still fairly strong, and can wait a few more years before they need to be addressed.
LLE council is soliciting a volunteer to act as Coordinator to do the following;
Phase One, March 2026
- Organize a team of like-minded volunteers to form a work party
- Install approximately 20 4×4 posts in concrete
- Re-use existing cedar fence panels and re-install on new 4×4 posts
Phase Two, May 2026 (weather dependent)
- Pressure wash entire fence between entrance and work shed
- Stain entire fence (one side) from entrance to work shed
All work and material purchases are to be approved by LLE Maintenance Coordinator before work begins.
