Today and tomorrow, Hud Elgood (Branching Out tree services) will be here cutting down a bunch of hazard trees in the ditch.
Most of these are alder trees. Alder wood is decent for burning, and these trees are not as huge and heavy to carry as some of the cottonwoods that were cut down, so people may want this wood for burning. The wood will be cut into manageable lengths to carry.
Hud suggested he could leave the wood here for a few days, to see if anyone picks it up. (Hud’s company can come later to pick up what is left over).
So – if you, or someone you know, would be interested in some of this wood, please come pick it up over the next few days (including this weekend). Or if you want to come a bit later than that, let me know when you will be picking it up.
