You will notice that the monthly strata fees that Bayview deducted today were higher than they should be. As per my post last week, Bayview had indicated that starting in October it would begin charging the monthly strata fees that were accepted as part of the 2018-19 budget at the AGM. They also notified us that they would add in the difference between last year’s monthly fees and this year’s monthly fees that were not collected in August and September, which meant that your monthly fees in October should have been between $36 and $70 higher than last month. However, it appears that they added the monthly difference multiplied by three, instead of by two, to the October amount, making the amounts between $39 and $105 higher than they were in September. This is incorrect.
I called Bayview to see if they could adjust the debits, but they said there is nothing they can do about it. So we will have to make adjustments on November 1st when we take over the finances.
