Pet Issue

Good Morning

An issue has arisen within the strata concerning dogs, and in particular dog feces.

Our strata bylaws are very specific about this issue. Bylaw 5 states:

(2) All pets must be on a leash not exceeding two (2) metres in length (or otherwise secured) and under the direct control of their handler while on the common property (other than in a fenced yard).

(3) A pet’s owner must promptly remove any waste or excrement left by the pet on the common property or limited common property and dispose of it in accordance with acceptable waste management practices.

(4) A pet must not be left unattended on the common or limited common property (other than enclosed porches, patios, decks, and fenced yards).

(9) Visitors who bring pets onto the common property must comply with these bylaws as they pertain to pets.

For the complete list of Pet Bylaws please refer to LLE’s website https://www.vis5801.ca/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/VIS5801-Consolidated-Bylaws-2023.pdf

In future kindly do not allow your dog to run unleashed on common property and promptly clean up after them. Your pet ……. your responsibility.
