Regional District of Nanaimo
Service Alert
Important message from Regional District of Nanaimo:
Garbage, recycling and food waste curbside collection will continue as scheduled, with additional precautions to safeguard our collection drivers:
1. All garbage waste must be bagged and securely tied – no loose waste including vacuum dust.
2. All paper towels, tissues, toilet paper, face masks, gloves, and disposable sanitary wipes (flushable & compostable) must be disposed of in your GARBAGE, not recycling nor food waste containers.
3. If someone in your household is sick, please double-bag and securely tie all personal waste.
Waste that do not adhere to the above guidelines will BE LEFT BEHIND, NO EXCEPTIONS.
The RDN Church Road Transfer Station and Regional Landfill are currently open with regular scheduled hours of operation at reduced capacity.
Thank you for your cooperation.
