Hi all –
WeedMan is planning to come to apply iron-based moss control treatment on the grass, either today or tomorrow.
- It is a liquid spray treatment. Please keep your pets off the grass for 4 hours or so after they have applied this treatment, until the grass is dry.
- It is not toxic, but it is iron-based and will “rust” while wet once exposed to the air, and that could colour the hair of your pet.
And, next week Thursday or Friday, WeedMan is scheduled to come do the aeration of the grass areas. This punches out those little plugs of grass and dirt. To avoid having this damage the sprinklers in the grass around your home in the areas that you water, please put pin flags right beside where your sprinklers are.
- You don’t need to mark the sprinklers that run right beside your sidewalk, driveway, and road. WeedMan won’t go that close to the edges.
- The sprinklers you need to flag are the ones more in the middle of the grass areas.
- There are some pin flags in the shed, in the far right corner when you walk into the shed. The key for the shed is under the shingle on the ramp to the door of the shed, closest to the door on the right side as your look at the door. PLEASE BE SURE TO PUT THE KEY BACK 🙂 To make sure we have enough pin flags, Paul will be picking up more pin flags in the next day or two, and he will put those in the shed as well.
- Please flag your sprinklers between now and next Thursday. (Paul will mow around the pin flags on Tuesday and Wednesday next week, so the grass might be a bit creative for a week but our sprinklers will be intact!)
