So, things are galloping along, for the entrance improvements! Keith just picked up a load of fish compost (after dropping off the yard waste in the trailer). This will be great to put around the base of each shrub and tree out there.
Some other time, we can get a big load of fine bark mulch from Chinook Timber yard on Fraser Road in Courtenay, to top cover everything (or, alternately, we may get more fish compost from EarthBank Resources in Parksville once they have product again; right now they are sold out and they are busily working on producing more!)
In order to free up the trailer ASAP, I’ll start off-loading the fish compost that is in the trailer this afternoon (around 4 p.m.). If anyone is around and wants to come help, that would be great! If it doesn’t get finished today, I will send out another note later today to set up a time for tomorrow to continue.
