Hi all –
Spring is springing! And that means the mowing season has started, for our mowing contract. The Island Mowing team is here today, doing a first cut for the season.
The plan is that next Thursday, they will come do the annual aeration of the grass (which is with the machines that pull out the little plugs of turf, so that the ground is more open for the grass.)
To prepare for the aeration, we need to flag all the sprinkler heads around the strata so that the machines don’t damage the sprinkler heads.
To do this:
Before next Thursday, each unit needs to turn on the irrigation water for your place, and then turn on the zones (from the timer in your house) to have the sprinklers pop up so that you can flag them. To do this:
- turn on your unit’s own “main” irrigation supply located in the green irrigation box, and then
- turn on each zone for your system to locate the sprinkler heads for marking with a pin flag. There are pin flags in the shed that can be used for this. (Please just take the number of flags you need, and return extras to the shed so that there are enough for everyone – thanks!)
If you need help (or if you are out of town), please ask a neighbour who knows how to do this for help.
Ron LaRoy will flag the large common areas that are separate from the zones covered by all of our strata units.
Thanks!
