Lighthouse Landing Estates Strata Council is pleased to inform you that the Landscaping Contract has been awarded to Parker’s Grounds Care (Paul Parker) for a three-year term. Since this is a new circumstance for all concerned, Council has outlined the new protocol later in this notice.
First let us assure you that all Conflict-of-Interest guidelines were followed. At no time was Mr. Parker privy to any information concerning submissions from other bidders nor was he involved in portions of strata Council meetings pertaining to the Landscaping Contract.
Since Mr. Parker is a valued member of the strata Council, we have requested that he retain his position as Maintenance Officer on Council. Mr. Parker and Council members have agreed that all landscaping items that pertain to his contract be dealt with on a one-to-one basis with the Council Landscaping Representative. At no time will Mr. Parker be part of strata meetings when Landscaping Contract issues are under discussion.
Protocol concerning Landscaping:
Since Mr. Parker is a resident of our strata and our Landscaping Contractor, Council has set up some guidelines for everyone to follow. It is very important that Paul Parker’s quality of life as a resident and owner at LLE be maintained. It is imperative that all concerns, comments and queries regarding landscaping be dealt with by using the Landscaping issues and Landscaping maintenance request form. This will ensure a prompt response to your inquiry. We respectfully request that at no time are the Landscaping Contractor or their employees, or members of the Landscaping Committee to be approached concerning landscaping issues.
In the first week of March, the lawn maintenance will begin. Once a routine is established, a predictable schedule will be set and forwarded to owners. Because cutting lawns while it is raining is not considered good for lawns, mowing on rainy days will be postponed, however, lawns will be cut once a week, regardless of weather conditions. Lawn cutting will not be done on Saturdays or Sundays.
