As per the Deep Bay Improvement District’s recommended water restrictions, Deep Bay residents are being asked to voluntarily reduce water usage for watering lawns. For strata grass areas, Council has chosen to follow the RDN‘s watering schedule of lawns being watered on Thursdays only.
Strata residents are encouraged to follow the voluntary water restrictions for grass watering as well. This restriction does not apply to hanging baskets or gardens.
It is suggested that a lawn needs 1 inch of water a week and that that amount can usually be attained with a watering for 30 minutes. If you are having trouble changing your water timers please let us know and we will be glad to arrange for someone to help you.
Some areas of the strata stay greener than others even in dry weather, due to there being more ground water in those areas (and not a result of how those areas are irrigated).
Thanks to you all for doing your part.
