Taking care of our septic system

LLE currently finds itself in a high-cost situation with our Wastewater Management System. It is struggling to deal with sludge load and clean-out is going to cost us dearly.

As you probably are aware, we have billions of unpaid workers in our system known as “microbes”. They hang out in our manholes, our septic tanks, our gravel filter and our disposal field. Lately, they have been chewing away at our sludge, but falling behind. It’s simply too much for them and the result is that we are approaching the limits of our Provincial License to Operate.

We are currently faced with helping our “microbes” by trucking sludge from our system to the French Creek Sewage Treatment Plant at a high cost (which of course is shared by all of us at LLE).

We can all help to save ourselves some money and give our unpaid workers a break by following the Wastewater Management information on our website, see: Septic System info.

Let’s take action.
